Collaborations
Don’s ability to learn quickly and his extensive experience as a chamber musician made him a sought-after performer during his short time in Manchester. As a result he was involved in an exciting series of collaborations and projects He was invited to work on the set of the Cold Feet television series that was shot in Manchester. For this project Don was required to tutor the lead actor James Nesbitt and other actors in guitar, and also to play live audio in an episode. He also performed on stage with the Endellion Theatre Company for a season of the musical, Man of La Mancha.
Don is currently working on duo collaborations with other instruments including flute, cello and percussion, as well as a guitar trio. He was a member of the college’s Electric Experimental Ensemble which plays a diverse range of contemporary classical works with live manipulation of electronics. He plans to further develop ongoing collaborations with composers and artists that he established during his time at RNCM. He is also establishing new collaborations with composers and artists in Australia.
